Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Mid Technical Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure quality, reliability, and performance across software applications. You will validate functionality, APIs, integrations, and automated test coverage with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.

The role requires strong testing skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to defect management and process improvements to support high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Software Testing, with hands-on manual and automated testing.
• Experience testing web, API, and/or mobile applications.
• Hands-on with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and improving automation coverage.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release readiness.
• Experience with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing of web, mobile, API, and microservices applications.
• Contribute to automated test suites and DevOps integration.
• Own QA activities within assigned agile teams as main quality gatekeeper.
• Ensure QA coverage across functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, scrum masters, stakeholders, and clients to meet requirements.
• Define testable user stories, create test scenarios, execute and report results.
