• Stores and disposes samples properly as needed.
• Conduct swabs of production equipment and environment as required.
• Endorses messages and instructions to succeeding shifts.
• Assigns standby jobs during unscheduled stoppages when supervisor unavailable.
• Performs duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Job description

1. Prepares samples and coordinates other preparation needed to perform microbiological quality analysis of finished products and 1st flow samples analysis which include determination of Salmonella, E-coli, Coliform count, Aerobic Plate Count, Enterobacter count and molds and yeast count.

2. Responsible for reading and recording of all test results of microbiological analysis conducted.

3. Initiates analysis retest depending on test results.

4. Properly stores and / or disposes samples as needed.

5. Conduct microbiological swab of the following:

   5.1 Production equipment during the sanitizing shift

   5.2 Production finishing personnel during start-up and spot swab every production shift.

   5.3 Laboratory environmental swab including Temperature Monitoring records for incubators and laminar flow cabinets.

6. Prepares, analyzes and records microbiological testing of samples for customer as required.

7. Maintains housekeeping of the work area including implementation of aseptic and safety measures required in the conduct of work and the proper operation/ handling of equipment, instrument, apparatus, chemicals and materials.

8. Handles decision making for minor shift work problems such as personnel absences and emergency breakdown of equipment and needs of similar nature. For Major problems relay immediately to Micro Supervisor or in her unavailability to the QA Manager.

9. Ensures the proper observance of company rules by shift personnel including reporting of any misconduct.

10. Endorses messages, special instructions and continuation that need to be relayed to the succeeding shifts.

11. In the absence of Micro Supervisor, assigns standby jobs to shift personnel for proper utilization of work time as needed in cases of unscheduled stoppages and breakdowns in production or laboratory operations causing unusual workloads reduction.

12. Van inspection in the absence of QA.

13. Monitors water bath, incubator and room temperature to ensure that the equipment is obtained.

14. Performs duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
