Job summary

Action Against Hunger in the Philippines seeks a skilled professional to help plan and implement the mental health and psychosocial support component of the project. You will organize community-based psychosocial groups, manage referrals, and support documentation and data entry for monitoring purposes.

The role requires collaboration with Head of Project, LGUs, health partners, and consortium members, ensuring adherence to procedures and safeguarding policies across activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Public Health, or related field.
• Knowledge of child development, psycho-social programming, primary health and protection standards.
• Experience with health emergencies and humanitarian settings preferred.
• Excellent English and Filipino, Ilocano advantageous.
• Experience with local government/INGOs in health-related projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Project in planning and implementing MHPSS components.
• Mobilize community-based psychosocial support groups and referrals.
• Monitor and report project progress at community level; archive documents.
• Coordinate with consortium members and local partners; ensure data collection and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to branding, safeguarding, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage with sectors (MPCA, WASH/Shelter) for integrated activities.
