Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is expanding its merchant partnerships and seeks a dynamic business development professional to identify and onboard SMB merchants to our platform.

You will build relationships, negotiate contracts, coordinate onboarding, and drive growth through campaigns and product improvements, while analyzing market trends and merchant feedback.

This role requires fieldwork, strong communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
• 1-4 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or merchant operations.
• Experience in food delivery, e-commerce, FMCG, or local services platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Willing to do fieldwork and engage directly with merchants.

Responsibilities

• Identify, acquire, and onboard new SMB merchants to the platform
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant partners
• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including contract negotiation and operational setup
• Drive merchant growth through campaign participation, assortment expansion, and operational improvements
• Monitor merchant performance and provide recommendations to improve sales and customer experience
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and product teams to support merchant success
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and merchant feedback to identify business opportunities
• Achieve acquisition, retention, and growth targets set by the company
