Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Credit Specialist to support the Merchant Acquiring Unit within Credit Acquisition. You will handle requests for additional outlets, MID and maintenance, perform pre-screening, evaluation, and verification of merchant applications, and provide back‑office support with strong record management.

The role involves monitoring merchant agreements, performing verification checks, and assisting with annual reviews and renewal decisions to manage risk and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field.
• At least 1 year of work experience in banking, credit card, or merchant acquiring.
• Experience dealing with internal and external customers is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel; knowledgeable in MCC’s Host System, NFC Module, and CIF.

Responsibilities

• Process additional outlet, MID, and maintenance requests with prescreening and evaluation.
• Perform merchant verification calls and assign Merchant IDs (MID) and Terminal IDs (TID).
• Upload Merchant Data Sheet for approved MIDs/outlets and handle disaffiliation requests.
• Ensure compliance with merchant policies and manage risk through reviews of merchant data.
• Assist in pre-verification tasks and annual performance reviews of accredited merchants.
