Vogue Concepts Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Manager to oversee inventory management, monitoring, analysis, and recommendations to support brand growth across channels, stores, and merchandise categories.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams will align merchandising strategies with business objectives and global campaigns. The role requires strong business sense, 5+ years in Retail Sales & Store Operations, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or Business Management.
A Merchandising Manager is responsible for inventory management, monitoring, analysis, and recommendations, to ensure that sales and growth targets for the brand, channels, stores, and merchandise categories are strategically supported with correct inventory levels and assortment. Collaborates with brands’ cross-functional teams to align merchandising strategies with brands’ business, competitive, and profitability objectives, and is supportive of global campaigns and brand standards.
Aligns with Brand Head for Sales Targets planning per store and category, as the basis for stock planning and the approval of Open-To-Buy (OTB) or Buying Budget
Monitors buys/ orders, shipments, and deliveries vs. Open-To-Buy (OTB) Budget monthly/ regularly to ensure sufficient inventory, anticipate and plan to avoid possible overstock or understock situations
Analyzes sales per collection and category to be able to make recommendations for commercial and promotional actions to be taken, aligned with the brand’s sales and campaign calendar.
Gives data-driven inputs or feedback on seasonal buying
Monitors weekly/ monthly sales performance of stores, and ensures that inventory is balanced across all stores and categories, to support growth and targets. Collaborates with stores and IPM for inventory transfers from locations, as necessary.
Forecast sales and inventory requirements for permanent or basic products, and ensures orders are placed accordingly.
As required, ensure that orders are placed and confirmed with brand partners/ suppliers
Ensures timely processing of new shipments: Coordinates with Logistics and Warehousing on shipments arrival and ensures that new shipments/ merchandise will be allocated, processed, and delivered to stores on time.
Prepares Shipment Order Approval Form (for new Shipments) for approval, and reviews pricing of new shipments/ products in line with margin standards.
Review monthly campaign schedules and targets with the brand, and ensure that sufficient inventory is allocated and delivered to stores in time for monthly launches and campaigns
Prepares recommendations for markdowns for sale events as well as for ensuring collection sell-thru within the season and at the end of the season.
Collaborates closely with VM and Operations to align on actions to increase sales and push collection sell-thru rates
Coordinate with IPM and MIS on the required processes to ensure that inventory and related movements are correctly processed and reported in the system.
Monitors aging/ terminal stock per season and prepares recommendations to reduce inventory of aging and terminal stock.
Supports store operations by checking stockroom merchandise organization.
Visits stores regularly to evaluate product and category performance, identify opportunities, and collaborate with VM.
Monitors and checks competitor activities and pricing.
Monitors and prepares regular reports on best-sellers, sales drivers or hero products, promotions results, slow-sellers, and other insights.
Prepares other reports and performs other related functions as may be assigned by management or brand
Strong business and commercial sense; able to formulate positioning and growth strategies and analyze performance for forwarding directions
Must have good business acumen
Must have at least 5 years (s) of relevant working experience in handling Retail Sales & Store Operations
Bachelor's Degree in Sales and Marketing or Business Management or its equivalent
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency
Can withstand pressure and willing to work long hours
Good communication skills, both in verbal and written forms
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Depending on the qualifications, the candidate/s may be considered for either the Assistant Marketing Manager or Marketing Manager position
