• Strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory, pricing, and lifecycle management.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP or merchandising systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandising strategies for the Beauty category.
• Lead assortment planning across skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance, and personal care.
• Analyze sales, margins, stock levels, and SKU productivity.
• Identify opportunities for new products, brands, and SKUs.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Manage product lifecycle from introduction to phase-out.
• Forecast sales and inventory based on performance and seasonality.
• Collaborate with Buying, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager (Beauty Category) to lead the merchandising strategy and commercial performance of the Beauty portfolio. The role will be responsible for developing the right product assortment, managing category performance, optimizing inventory, and identifying opportunities to drive sales and profitability.The ideal candidate has strong experience in Beauty Retail, Cosmetics, Skincare, Personal Care, or related categories, with proven experience in merchandising, category management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandising strategies for the Beauty category in line with sales and profitability targets.
• Lead assortment planning across categories such as skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance, and personal care.
• Analyze sales, margins, sell-through, stock levels, and SKU productivity to improve category performance.
• Identify opportunities for new products, brands, assortment expansion, and SKU rationalization.
• Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, competitor activities, and emerging Beauty brands.
• Manage product lifecycle from introduction through growth, markdown, and phase-out.
• Develop sales and inventory forecasts based on historical performance, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
• Partner with Buying, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to execute merchandising plans.
• Monitor inventory availability and aging and recommend replenishment, markdown, and stock-balancing strategies.
• Support new product and brand launches, ensuring appropriate assortment and inventory availability.
• Review promotional performance and recommend improvements to maximize sales and profitability.
• Prepare regular category performance reports and business reviews for management.
• Lead, coach, and develop the merchandising team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant merchandising, category management, or merchandise planning experience.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience.
• Strong experience in Beauty, Cosmetics, Skincare, Personal Care, Fashion, Lifestyle, or related retail categories.
• Strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory management, pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant ERP or merchandising systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Makati City.
