A construction firm is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed cost estimates and manage project costs for MEFPS works. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer handling MEFPS works.
• Strong knowledge of MEFPS systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Able to read MEFPS plans and technical drawings.
• Skilled in cost estimating, quantity take-off and budget control.
• Proficient in MS Excel, estimating software and basic CM tools.
• Good coordination, analytical and documentation skills.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEFPS works.
• Review and analyze MEFPS shop drawings and design revisions for cost impact.
• Monitor and control MEFPS project costs, including budget tracking.
• Monitor and control MEFPS project costs, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Evaluate progress billings, variations and claims from subs and suppliers.
• Assist in preparing and evaluating MEFPS subcontractor bids and quotations.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Procurement and Accounting on quantities, costing and billing.
• Ensure accuracy of quantities for change orders and value engineering proposals.
• Maintain cost records and related documentation and ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare cost reports and updates for management.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEFPS works based on approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Review and analyze MEFPS shop drawings, design revisions, and variations for cost impact.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and supporting documents.
• Monitor and control MEFPS project costs, including budget tracking and cost forecasting.
• Evaluate and verify progress billings, variations, and claims from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of MEFPS subcontractor bids and quotations.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Accounting regarding quantities, costing, and billing concerns.
• Ensure accuracy of quantities for change orders, additional works, and value engineering proposals.
• Maintain updated cost records, quantity databases, and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contract provisions, company policies, and project requirements.
• Prepare cost reports and updates for management as required.
• May perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
