Job summary

ISTA Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Scribes Team Lead to join our expanding team in the Philippines. You will oversee daily operations, ensure quality, and mentor scribes while coordinating with other departments to enhance patient data reporting.

The role requires a medical degree, 1+ year of team lead experience in healthcare, 2+ years as a medical scribe/transcriptionist, ECW familiarity, 50–60 WPM, and strong English skills, with readiness for night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of any medical course.
• A minimum of 1 year Team Lead / Supervisory / SME experience in a healthcare account.
• At least 2 years of Medical Scribes / Transcriptionist experience.
• Experience with ECW EHR platform.
• Averaging 50-60 WPM.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Able to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily workflow and assignments.
• Monitor productivity and achieve 40-chart target.
• Manage coverage, pending tasks, and workload.
• Audit scribe documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Track quality trends and provide weekly reports.
• Conduct coaching and performance reviews.
• Create improvement plans and apply feedback.
• Prepare weekly production and issue reports.
• Provide leadership updates.
• Train and onboard new scribes.
• Provide ongoing support, feedback, and escalation.
• Convert transcribed results into report formats and collaborate with teams to improve customer experience

Account specific roles and responsibilities:

Daily Operations

• Plan daily workflow and assignments.

Scribing

• Converting transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats
• Typing out the full forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, as well as the formal versions of medical jargon
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve overall customer experience

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of any medical course
• With at least 1 year Team Lead / Supervisory / SME experience under a healthcare account
• Must have 2 years of Medical Scribes / Transcriptionist Experience
• With experience in ECW
