The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting the company's products and services, developing relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions, and identifying opportunities to increase product utilization and expand the company's network of healthcare partners.
The role involves regular field visits, product presentations, customer engagement, lead generation, and follow-up with hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, and other healthcare-related establishments to support business growth and achieve assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, distributors, and other healthcare establishments.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital personnel, pharmacy heads, purchasing/procurement teams, distributors, and other relevant contacts.
- Conduct regular customer visits and field activities to introduce and promote the company's products.
- Present product features, benefits, and appropriate solutions based on customer needs.
- Generate leads and actively prospect for potential healthcare partners and customers.
- Follow up with prospective and existing customers to develop business opportunities and encourage product utilization.
- Support the development of new accounts and assist in maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Monitor customer needs, feedback, product demand, and market opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to support product inquiries, orders, delivery requirements, and other account concerns.
- Assist in identifying opportunities related to tenders, institutional requirements, and other potential sales channels.
- Gather market and competitor information, including pricing, product availability, customer preferences, and market activities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, leads, sales activities, and account developments.
- Prepare and submit regular sales and activity reports as required.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, activity targets, and other key performance indicators.
- Participate in company-sponsored marketing activities, conventions, exhibitions, product presentations, and other promotional initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Teams to ensure effective execution of approved programs and activities.
- Address customer concerns promptly and coordinate with relevant internal teams for appropriate resolution.
- Provide regular updates to the immediate supervisor regarding sales activities, customer feedback, opportunities, and challenges.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as may be required by Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any 4-year course; preferably in Medical, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or B2B sales is an advantage.
- Experience in field sales, business development, customer acquisition, or relationship management is preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable communicating with healthcare professionals, business owners, and other decision-makers.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Willing to conduct field work and regular customer visits.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Sales and Marketing Teams.
- Must be willing to travel within the assigned territory and as business requirements dictate.
