Entry Requirement:
College graduate of Nursing (BSN), Medical Technology, or other allied medical courses.
With at least 6 months of on-the-job training (OJT) in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic facility.
Knowledge of basic medical terms and diagnostic results (laboratory, ECG, X-ray, physical examination, etc.).
Able to review and identify significant findings in medical records under clinic guidelines.
Computer literate; willing to learn and use a Clinic Management Information System (CMIS).
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple patient records efficiently.
Willing to coordinate with different diagnostic sections and work in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Preferably attended training/seminar on:
- Maritime host country guidelines, ILO/IMO requirements
- Orientation on Client’s medical package requirements
- QMS Awareness Briefing on ISO 9001: 2015
- Customer Relations
- Personality Development
- First Aid
Responsible for:
- Receive, compile, and organize medical results from various sections, including:
- Laboratory
- Optical
- Physical Examination
- X-ray
- ECG
- Ultrasound
- Audiometry
- Dental
- Cardiovascular
- Psychological Testing
- Review medical results and identify significant findings that need to be noted on the patient’s medical worksheet.
- Ensure all received results are properly recorded and updated in the Clinic Management Information System (CMIS).
- Monitor and check the transmittal status of medical records to ensure that all required results are complete and properly endorsed.
- Handle the daily operations of the Processing Section, including coordination with different diagnostic areas.
- Monitor, control, and ensure proper use of medical forms and special forms.
- Sign and maintain transmittal logbooks for proper tracking of medical records.
- Affix initials on transmittal forms for document delivery or pick-up when the Administrator or Officer-in-Charge (OIC) is not available.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
