Role Description

The Medical Coder at ScribeRunner will review clinical documentation and assign accurate medical codes to support billing, compliance, and reporting. This full-time, on-site role in Biñan involves validating diagnoses and procedures, ensuring codes align with payer and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation. The Medical Coder will help optimize revenue cycle performance by identifying coding discrepancies, reducing denials, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and payer policies. The role also includes contributing to process improvements, participating in audits, and supporting documentation quality across ScribeRunner’s healthcare workflows.

Qualifications

• Coding experience and proficiency in Medical Coding across common coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
• Strong foundation in Medical Terminology and Health Information Management to interpret and translate clinical documentation accurately.
• Relevant credential such as RHIT or comparable certification demonstrating expertise in health information and coding practices.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems, and familiarity with payer rules and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clinical, billing, and operations teams on-site in Biñan.
• Preferred: Prior work in outpatient clinics, physician groups, or skilled nursing facilities, and knowledge of revenue cycle processes.
