Mechanical Project Engineer (HVAC & Construction)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in the HVAC and construction sectors. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution, ensuring mechanical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Assist in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of commercial/industrial HVAC systems.

• Technical Review: Review site plans, submittals, and MEP drawings to identify discrepancies early and coordinate with site supervisors.

• Quality & Compliance: Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets local building codes, design specs, and safety standards.

• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Support material procurement, track equipment deliveries, and coordinate daily tasks with field crews.

• Documentation: Assist in tracking project timelines, preparing progress reports, and managing Requests for Information (RFIs).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

• Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience within an HVAC contractor, MEP firm, or general construction company.

• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, ductwork, piping) and basic proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a proactive problem‑solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively on dynamic construction sites.
