We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer/Master Plumber to join our team and support the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and plumbing systems across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This unique position requires both engineering expertise and licensed plumbing experience to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications (AutoCAD/Revit).
- Perform system sizing, load calculations, and energy‑efficiency evaluations
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water, drainage, gas, and piping.
- Conduct inspections, pressure tests, and code compliance checks.
- Troubleshoot system failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other trades to coordinate project needs.
- Ensure all mechanical and plumbing work adheres to local, state, and national codes.
- Provide guidance and oversight to apprentices or field technicians.
Qualifications
- Licensed Master Plumber (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in mechanical or plumbing systems design, installation, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, mechanical codes, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong communication and project coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with HVAC design or installation.
- Background in construction, facility maintenance, or mechanical contracting.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE and IPC standards.
