The Construction Project Engineer - Mechanical plans, designs, and oversees all mechanical works (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing/sanitary, and piping systems) across construction projects. This role bridges the gap between mechanical design engineering and on-site project management to ensure deliverables are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with technical standards.
Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary engineers to validate mechanical system plans, specifications, equipment layouts, and project schedules.
Oversee on-site mechanical installations and testing/commissioning, ensuring strict compliance with local codes (e.g., PSME Code, Fire Code), safety regulations, and quality standards.
Manage mechanical labor, materials, and specialized equipment on-site; monitor project expenses to ensure budget feasibility.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for mechanical concerns among clients, contractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
Identify on-site mechanical conflicts, provide engineering solutions, resolve logistical bottlenecks, and prepare detailed status and progress reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Registered/Licensed Mechanical Engineer (RME/BSME) is highly preferred.
1–3 years of solid experience in construction project engineering, mechanical site supervision, or MEP/HVAC design.
Strong understanding of mechanical building systems (HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Piping) and construction processes.
Proficient in AutoCAD and standard project management/scheduling software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a proven capacity to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
