Job summary

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Perform detailed calculations and analyses to ensure mechanical designs meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Create and maintain technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical solutions to operational challenges.
• Perform quality inspections and testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation for stakeholder review.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and implementation process.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, with experience in 2D and 3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to approach complex technical challenges systematically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Previous experience in water systems, hydraulics, or related industries (preferred).
