Job summary

Mpws is seeking a Resident Mechanical Engineer to supervise all mechanical works on a wastewater construction project. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, quality, and on-schedule completion per drawings and specifications.

The role requires PRC-licensed mechanical engineers with 5–10 years in mechanical construction, knowledge of pumps, piping, HVAC, and wastewater equipment, and strong coordination with multiple teams. Project-based work in Pasay/Alabang, Philippines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • PRC Licensed Mechanical Engineer is required.
  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical construction works, preferably wastewater or water treatment projects.
  • Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, valves, blowers, HVAC, and wastewater process equipment.
  • Familiar with mechanical codes, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues or construction clashes.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including confined-space and lifting activities.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, punch lists, and completion documents.
  • Assist in quantity verification, variation orders, and project handover activities.

Job Summary
