Job summary

Watermatic Philippines Corporation in Mandaue City, Cebu is seeking a mechanical engineer to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for water operations. You will collaborate with engineering teams to deliver robust solutions that meet project specs and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, CAD proficiency, and knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Experience with water systems is a plus, and PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 2D/3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• PE licence or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in water systems or hydraulics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment per project specs.
• Perform calculations to ensure performance, safety and reliability.
• Create and maintain CAD drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical solutions.
• Perform quality inspections and testing of components and assemblies.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Support project timelines by meeting design deadlines.
