You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, review layout proposals, and coordinate with technicians and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and energy-efficient operations.
AcBel PolyTech (Phils.), Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering team in Calamba City, Laguna. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical utility systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role will support facility operations through effective troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and maintain the functionality of all mechanical systems within the plant (e.g., HVAC, compressed air systems, water pumps, chillers, and fire protection systems)
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical utilities and equipment.
Review and approve mechanical layout and design proposals for renovations or new installations
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical equipment failures and operational issues.
Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure proper execution of maintenance activities.
Support installation, modification, and improvement projects related to mechanical systems and facility equipment.
Ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and compliance with operational requirements.
Prepare and maintain engineering documents, maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation required for audits and inspections.
Monitor facility equipment performance and recommend improvement actions to minimize downtime and improve energy efficiency.
Coordinate with the power and utility providers for inspections, calibration, and maintenance
Support regulatory compliance requirements related to facility operations, permits, and certifications.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and facility optimization initiatives.
Support Pollution Control and Safety Officers in meeting DENR, DOLE, and OSH requirements related to mechanical systems
Track energy and utility consumption and recommend cost‑saving measures
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME) is preferred.
Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
With 1-2 years of experience in facilities engineering, mechanical utilities, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, Chillers, Compressed air systems and pumps and other mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, facility utilities, and maintenance practices.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and maintenance management systems.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
