Job summary

Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Facility Engineer to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of building facilities and systems.

The role supports facilities management by supervising technical operations, addressing facility concerns, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The candidate will oversee daily operations, implement maintenance programs, supervise staff and contractors, monitor energy use, and manage property improvement projects to meet quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering and a licensed professional engineer.
• 1–2+ years in building operations, maintenance, or facilities management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and performance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, generators).
• Implement preventive/corrective maintenance and conduct facility inspections.
• Supervise in-house maintenance staff and outsourced providers while ensuring safety compliance and permits.

Job description

The Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all building facilities and systems. The role supports facilities management by overseeing technical operations, addressing facility-related concerns, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, and generator sets.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs, conduct facility inspections, and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure operational efficiency.
• Supervise in-house maintenance personnel and outsourced service providers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, permits, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor utility consumption, recommend energy‑saving initiatives, and support sustainability and cost‑efficiency programs.
• Plan, manage, and oversee property improvement projects, equipment replacements, and refurbishments, including preparation of technical specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Monitor project progress, evaluate work quality, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
• Lead engineering responses during emergencies and ensure the readiness and reliability of all life‑safety and critical building systems.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering and a Licensed ME/EE/CE.
• At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in building operations, maintenance, or facilities management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and safety standards.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and supervisory abilities.
• Willing to work onsite in Mandaluyong City.
