Job summary

Dwightsteel Building Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles at our Taytay service facility.

You will work on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools and power hand tools to ensure safe, reliable performance. You will follow safety procedures, document inspections and repairs, communicate clearly with customers, and stay current with new automotive technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or automotive certification preferred.
• ASE certification(s) a plus but not required.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with service advisors or customers about vehicle conditions and recommended repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Follow industry safety standards and shop procedures.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
