Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles or equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles or equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and fluid level inspections.
- Inspect, test, and adjust vehicle systems (e.g., engine, transmission, exhaust, brakes).
- Replace or repair worn or damaged parts, including belts, hoses, filters, and electrical components.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and ensure accurate repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide clear communication with customers regarding vehicle issues and necessary repairs.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in automotive technology preferred (e.g., ASE).
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in automotive or industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to customers.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for automotive mechanics).
