Job description

The Auto Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, proficient use of diagnostic tools, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose vehicle malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and suspension components.
• Perform engine diagnostics, including compression tests, leak down tests, and cylinder balancing.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including starting, charging, and lighting circuits.
• Repair and maintain air conditioning and heating systems.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors regarding repair recommendations and costs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• May assist in ordering parts and supplies.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through training and continuing education.

Qualifications
