Job summary

Ulticon Builders, Inc. is seeking a qualified Materials/Quality Engineer to ensure all materials used meet DPWH standards for highways, bridges, and airports. You will prepare design mixes, conduct soil investigations, and document testing reports for quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• To ascertain that all materials incorporated into work pass the requirement of DPWH Standard Specifications for Highways, Bridges and Airport and to strictly comply with the schedule of Minimum Testing Requirements.
• Prepare design mixes for concrete and bitumen mixtures.
• Conduct soil investigations and materials survey of probable sources of materials, and reporting approximate quantity available, suitability of materials and other pertinent data.
• Sees to it that samples are sent to the Regional/District Laboratory are well packed in durable containers to avoid damages at transit, and that all samples are accompanied by a card filled-up in detail.
• Sees to it that all weighing devices and testing machines are maintained and calibrated in accordance with the DPWH Standard Specification.
• Submit within required time frame tests reports and other pertinent papers to the Project Implementing Office.
• Develop a system filling pertinent reports on testing quality control ready at any time for appraisal, inspection or quality assurance.
• Willing to be assigned in Davao Region and Bukidnon project sites.
