Responsibilities

• Ensure that all construction materials conform to specifications and codes.
• Review and approve material submittals and compliance certificates.
• Supervise material sampling and inspections.
• Conduct inspections of delivered materials for quality compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers and laboratories for certification traceability.
• Prepare and maintain materials test reports and quality control records.
• Work with engineers and supervisors for timely material availability.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to materials.
• Ensure compliance with DPWH-accredited Materials Engineer Certificate.

Job description

1. Ensure that all construction materials used in the project conform to approved specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
2. Review and approve material submittals, technical datasheets, and certificates of compliance from suppliers and subcontractors.
3. Supervise material sampling, concrete, steel, and other construction materials.
4. Conduct inspections of delivered materials to verify compliance with quality requirements prior to acceptance and use in the project.
5. Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and accredited laboratories to ensure proper certification and traceability of materials.
6. Prepare and maintain materials test reports, certifications, and quality control records for submission to the Project Management Team and client representatives.
7. Work closely with project engineers, QA/QC, and site supervisors to ensure timely approval and availability of materials.
8. Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to materials selection, application, and performance.
9. Ensure all materials and testing procedures comply with the conditions of the DPWH-accredited Materials Engineer Certificate.
