Job summary

ARK Imex Inc. in Manila is seeking a Materials Quality Control (QC) Engineer to ensure construction materials comply with project specs, standards, and client requirements. The role includes inspecting, testing, documenting, and monitoring material quality on-site.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, 3–5 years in QA/QC for government infrastructure, and a PRC license is preferred. You will coordinate lab testing, review test reports, and support project teams to uphold QMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• PRC license preferred for Registered Civil Engineer.
• 3–5 years of experience in material QA/QC or construction QA.
• Experience with government infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with material testing procedures and laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming construction materials on-site.
• Coordinate and witness laboratory testing for concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, steel, and other materials.
• Review material test reports, certificates of compliance, and supplier quality documents.
• Monitor material sampling and testing schedules to ensure timely verification.
• Prepare and maintain quality control reports, inspection records, and testing documentation.
• Identify non-conforming materials and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams regarding quality-related concerns.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain quality standards.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Assist during inspections conducted by clients, consultants, and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with the company's QMS and project quality plans.
• Support project engineers by providing technical recommendations related to material quality.

Job Description

The Material Quality Control (QC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction materials used on-site comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements. The role involves inspecting, testing, documenting, and monitoring the quality of materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
