Job description

Marketing Specialist / Marketing Operations Manager
The Opportunity

Our Company is building innovative solutions that help organizations strengthen customer engagement, improve performance outcomes, and deliver meaningful value to their clients and end users.

We are a collaborative, entrepreneurial team of five full-time employees and five part-time contractors. Because the team is lean, this role must be comfortable working across functions, moving quickly, and taking campaigns from concept through execution and measurement.

We are looking for a versatile, execution-oriented marketing professional who can turn an established marketing framework into a consistent operating rhythm. This person will own day-to-day marketing execution across social media, email, content, client materials, and campaign reporting, using AI thoughtfully to increase speed and scale without sacrificing accuracy, trust, or brand quality.

PRIMARY MANDATE

Build a recognizable, trusted company brand and a measurable marketing funnel that consistently creates qualified conversations, supports client adoption, and strengthens retention.

What Success Looks Like
  • The Company communicates with one clear, consistent voice across every channel and client touchpoint.
  • Marketing campaigns move from ideas to scheduled, measured execution with clear owners and deadlines.
  • Social and email programs generate qualified interest and support the sales team's outreach.
  • Clients receive polished, on-brand flyers, notices, testimonials, and rollout materials on time.
  • Salesforce provides a reliable view of campaign activity, source attribution, and funnel performance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
What You Will Own
Brand and Messaging Stewardship
  • Translate the company's positioning, voice, and brand platform into clear, credible messaging for clients, partners, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Maintain a practical message library, editorial standards, and approval process so presentations, emails, social posts, flyers, and client communications remain consistent.
  • Review marketing outputs for accuracy, tone, visual consistency, and appropriate use of claims before release.
Social Media and Thought Leadership
  • Own the editorial calendar and day-to-day social presence, with an initial emphasis on LinkedIn and B2B audiences.
  • Create and repurpose posts, short-form video, infographics, executive points of view, educational content, and campaign series.
  • Monitor engagement, respond appropriately, and identify conversations, trends, and prospects that should be routed to Sales.
AI-Enabled Content Production
  • Use generative AI and automation tools to research, draft, edit, repurpose, and personalize content while preserving human review and brand accountability.
  • Build reusable prompts, templates, and workflows that improve production speed and quality across email, social, client collateral, and reporting.
  • Protect confidential client, customer, and company information; use only approved tools and follow company security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Email Campaigns and Lifecycle Marketing
  • Review and improve current email automations, messaging, and sequence timing in partnership with the Sales Operations Coordinator, ensuring each campaign has a clear audience, purpose, call to action, and follow-up path.
  • Plan, write, build, and optimize outbound, nurture, onboarding, and retention campaigns for prospects, clients, partners, and end users.
  • Own email deliverability and list health, including sender reputation, authentication coordination, bounce and complaint monitoring, suppression practices, and corrective action when performance declines.
  • Segment audiences, manage lead and campaign lists, test subject lines and calls to action, and maintain CAN-SPAM and related compliance practices.
  • Coordinate sequences with Sales so email, calls, meetings, and follow-up tasks operate as one connected funnel rather than isolated activities.
Lead Data, Bots, and Marketing Automation
  • Work with existing bots and automation workflows to support lead research, qualification, outreach, routing, and follow-up.
  • Manage the quality, segmentation, deduplication, and campaign readiness of prospect and lead lists before they enter active sequences.
  • Monitor automation outputs, identify errors or weak results, recommend improvements, and ensure human review where judgment or compliance is required.
Client Marketing and Advocacy
  • Work directly with clients to create co-branded flyers, notices, educational materials, videos, and rollout resources.
  • Establish a repeatable testimonial and case-study program by identifying candidates, conducting interviews, securing approvals, and publishing credible success stories.
  • Keep core sales and client materials current, including one-sheets, presentations, proposal content, website copy, implementation materials, and asset kits.
Campaign and Funnel Operations
  • Build campaign plans that connect awareness, consideration, urgency, and conversion across social, email, referral, event, and direct-outreach channels.
  • Use Salesforce as the marketing system of record for campaign membership, source attribution, task handoffs, lead status, and performance reporting.
  • Partner with Sales and Client Success teams to define handoffs, follow-up standards, dormant-lead rules, and re-engagement programs.
  • Produce a concise monthly dashboard and recommendations based on campaign, channel, and funnel results.
Partnerships, Events, and Earned Visibility
  • Support conferences, webinars, sponsorships, referral partners, and co-marketing opportunities with coordinated pre-event, live, and follow-up campaigns.
  • Develop press-ready messaging, talking points, and an organized asset library for industry media and partner use.
  • Coordinate external designers, videographers, agencies, and marketing partners when specialized production is needed.
Role Boundaries and Decision Rights

This role owns marketing execution, coordination, and quality control. It partners with leadership on strategy and with qualified legal and compliance resources on regulated claims and disclosures. It is not the sole owner of sales closing, Salesforce architecture, product engineering, or legal interpretation.

How This Role Works Across the Team
  • Partner with Salesforce engineers and implementation specialists to translate marketing requirements into campaigns, automations, lead routing, dashboards, and reliable reporting.
  • Coordinate with Account Management and Operations leadership on client communications, co-branded materials, testimonials, onboarding needs, and retention initiatives.
  • Coordinate campaign timing, lead lists, messaging, automated sequences, and handoffs with the Sales Operations Coordinator. Support sales development and outbound teams with approved scripts, content, and campaign insights.
PERFORMANCE SCORECARD
Key Performance Indicators

The final scorecard will be established with the successful candidate after baseline data is confirmed. The measures below emphasize business contribution, execution quality, and funnel discipline rather than activity volume alone.

  • Recommend optimizations.
  • Refresh the near-term content plan.
