Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Associate in the Chief Investments Office Market Risk to support the second line of defense with a focus on AI adoption and process improvements across market risk for RMBS and related hedging activities.

You will collaborate with risk managers, technology, and control functions to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and build repeatable analytics while upholding governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in market risk, risk analytics, product control, technology/automation, or similar.
• Degree in finance, math, engineering, economics, business or computer science.
• Demonstrated AI adoption experience with governance and oversight.
• Strong data skills, analytics, and ability to validate outputs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong controls orientation and ability to manage deliverables independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and deliver process improvements across market risk workflows.
• Build and maintain automation for recurring risk tasks with controls mindset.
• Drive AI adoption by proposing use cases, piloting solutions, and measuring impact.
• Partner with risk coverage leads to meet business needs and improve insights.
• Perform targeted risk analytics to support coverage and validate outputs.
• Collaborate to remediate data/booking breaks and reduce manual touchpoints.
• Create and maintain documentation to support regulatory readiness.
• Produce clear materials explaining methodology, outputs, and limitations.
