Job summary

BW Epic Kosan Crewing Inc. in Manila seeks a Crewing Assistant to ensure seafarers placed on board are properly qualified under STCW and Flag State regulations, medically fit, and compliant with company policies and vessel requirements.

Responsibilities include verifying statutory compliance, coordinating US visa arrangements, arranging joining gear, updating crew records in the management system, and assisting in dispatch and document validity monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with IT skills or IT background.
• Minimum 12 months' Crewing experience.
• Meet specific Crewing Team performance metrics.
• Team player with some leadership skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and initiative to improve processes.
• Result-oriented and familiar with STCW requirements.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafarers placed on board are properly qualified per STCW and Flag State regs, medically fit, and compliant with policies and vessel requirements.
• Facilitate arrangement of US visa in coordination with seafarers.
• Facilitate working gears / PPE requirements for joining crew.
• Check and update crew personnel information in the crew management system.
• Verify and update crew documents and certificates in the system.
• Arrange the original documents and certificates of joining crew prior dispatch.
• Conduct dispatch of joining crew.
• Process the requisition of Cash Advance and facilitate its release to joining crew.
• Assist in monitoring the validity of documents and licenses of crew.
