Job summary

SHARP BH GLOBAL MANPOWER, INC. seeks a Mechanical Fitter to perform fitting, maintenance, and repair work in a marine/heavy industry setting. You will read drawings, operate conventional lathes and milling machines, and assist with fabrication and installation of mechanical components.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a mechanical fitter, welding skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team while maintaining safety and quality standards. Shipyard experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar trade.
• Welding experience and practical welding skills.
• Ability to operate lathes and milling machines.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Performing any other tasks appointed by the technical manager
• Must hold a valid International Driving Permit and a valid driver ́s licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repair work.
• Carry out welding tasks as required.
• Operate and maintain conventional lathes and milling machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Assist with fabrication, installation, and overhaul of mechanical components and equipment.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Being vigilant and performing all tasks with skill and enthusiasm as required.
