Ship Hull Fitter (Bound to Lithuania - Abroad!)
Job Summary
A Ship Hull Fitter builds and fits steel parts of ships. This includes plates, frames, and other metal structures. The job must be done based on drawings and shipyard rules.
Job Duties
- Read and understand basic ship drawings and measurements.
- Measure, mark, cut, and fit steel plates and parts of the ship hull.
- Align and fit hull sections before welding.
- Work with welders, supervisors, and other shipyard workers.
- Follow safety rules while working onboard ships and in the shipyard.
- Keep tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years continuous experience as a Ship Hull Fitter in a shipyard.
- Knows how to read ship drawings and use measuring tools.
- Experience in ship construction or ship repair.
- Physically fit and willing to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Willing to work overtime or shifting schedules if needed.
