Job summary

PL Aguila Manufacturing Incorporated is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze and report on production expenses, including materials, labor, and overhead. The role supports management decisions with standard costing insights and cost-reduction initiatives.

The candidate will prepare the Manufacturing Financial Report, conduct regular variance analysis, and collaborate with Production and Supply Chain teams to optimize costs. A CPA/CMA is a strong plus, with 2–5 years in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strong plus)
• 2–5 years accounting experience, ideally in plant/manufacturing
• Advanced Excel and experience with SAP, Oracle, etc.
• Strong cost accounting knowledge (standard costing, ABC) and compliance
• Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, able to explain metrics to non-fin operations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines
• Familiarity with production processes and related software
• Decision making and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Analyze, track, and report production expenses including raw materials, direct labor, and factory overhead.
• Prepare Manufacturing Financial Report (Gross Profit Statement) for SBU reporting.
• Conduct variance analysis; investigate waste, inefficiencies, and overhead gaps.
• Oversee valuation and reconciliation of raw materials; value WIP and finished goods.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing; post journals; reconcile sub-ledgers to GL.
• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain to support make-versus-buy decisions and cost-reduction initiatives.
