Job summary

ALSONS ENERGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is seeking a Mandarin Translator to bridge project teams and Mandarin-speaking contractors across large-scale infrastructure, energy, and construction initiatives. You will interpret between Mandarin, English, and Filipino and coordinate technical meetings from planning through commissioning.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or related field, 2–3 years of Mandarin–English interpretation or project support, and familiarity with engineering or EPC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; or Bachelor's degree in Chinese Studies/related field with engineering/construction project experience.
• At least 2–3 years of Mandarin–English interpretation, technical coordination, or project support.
• HSK Level 4–5 or equivalent Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, power, or EPC projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working with Chinese contractors, suppliers, or engineering teams is an advantage.
• Site-based project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to support project execution.
• Facilitate clear communication and provide real-time interpretation between Mandarin, English, and Filipino-speaking stakeholders.
• Assist in technical meetings, site inspections, construction activities, testing, commissioning, and contractor engagements.
• Translate project documents, technical reports, engineering correspondence, meeting minutes, schedules, and project updates.
• Track project action items, submissions, clarifications, and follow-ups to help keep projects on schedule.
• Support project documentation, reporting, and communication management.
• Help strengthen collaboration between multicultural teams and minimize communication gaps.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and operational excellence across project activities.

About you
