Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions is seeking a Procurement Officer to support purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management with a focus on China-sourced materials and products. The role requires Mandarin communication and involves direct interaction with China-based suppliers.

The ideal candidate has purchasing or sourcing experience, is comfortable negotiating terms, and is open to travel to China for meetings and factory visits. Junior candidates with exposure to China sourcing are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin.
• Relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, or Supplier Management is required.
• Must have experience or practical knowledge in sourcing suppliers or products from China.
• Willing and able to travel to China as part of the role.
• Open to junior-level candidates with relevant purchasing and China-sourcing exposure.
• Engineering background is highly preferred for technical materials/products.
• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Organized and able to manage multiple supplier and purchasing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify qualified suppliers, manufacturers, materials, and products from China based on business requirements.
• Handle purchasing and procurement activities from supplier sourcing through order coordination.
• Communicate and negotiate with China-based suppliers regarding pricing, specifications, availability, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Compare supplier quotations and help evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capability.
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand purchasing and material requirements.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to support timely delivery.
• Assist with supplier accreditation, documentation, and other procurement requirements.
• Conduct supplier and market research to identify alternative sources and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Travel to China as required for supplier meetings, sourcing activities, negotiations, factory visits, and other procurement-related requirements.
