Job summary

Nickel Asia Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering leader to drive design and execution of projects in the Philippines. You will supervise the Electrical Engineering & Design Team, delivering innovative electrical and communication solutions while ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in alignment with PMO standards.

The role requires 8–12 years in electrical design, with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity, plus advanced training in power systems and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8–12 years in electrical engineering design with 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• Special courses include power systems analysis, protection and control training; renewable energy design and grid integration; project management and leadership training; safety standards and electrical code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Electrical Engineering & Design Team activities with Engineering Head.
• Lead Electrical Engineering and Design to provide innovative solutions for projects.

What you will be doing:

• Works closely and coordinates Electrical Engineering & Design Team activities to the Engineering Head.

• Leads the Electrical Engineering and Design in providing innovative solutions needed for the Project.

• Oversee all approved technical services for electrical and communication aspects for Projects under Project Development, Project Execution and O&M Department.

• Tracks the Electrical Engineering and Design Team schedule of activities to ensure that deadlines are met and goals accomplished.

• Provides crucial input during the preparation of Design Criteria, Employer Requirements, engineering drawings, and tender documents.

• Ensures that the Electrical Engineering and Design output for Projects are safe, efficient & cost-effective and within the minimum quality requirements established by the PMO.

What you need to be great in this role:

Educational Attainment: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or like is an advantage

Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role

Special Courses/Trainings: * 1. Power systems analysis, protection, and control training

2. Renewable energy systems design and grid integration

3. Project management and leadership training.

4. Safety standards and electrical code compliance (e.g., PEC or international equivalents)

Functional/Technical Skills:

1. Proficient in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, AutoCAD Electrical)

2. Knowledge of PVsyst, Homer, or similar renewable energy modeling tools is an advantage

3. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

4. Familiarity with SCADA systems and monitoring platforms
