Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement electrical systems. You will use CAD software to create schematics, develop SLDs, perform calculations, and prepare documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
• 2 to 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, design, or field operations
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, MATLAB, ETAP, SPICE or PLC programming tools
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, circuit design and signal processing

Responsibilities

About the role

This is an Electrical Engineer position involving the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems, circuits, and components. The role encompasses system design using CAD software, quality assurance through testing and compliance verification, project execution with on-site supervision, and maintenance of electrical installations across various voltage levels.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, circuits, schematics, and components using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Altium)
• Perform complex mathematical calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and operational specifications
• Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and system architecture plans
• Prepare test procedures, conduct system simulations, and test prototype equipment to verify performance
• Analyze data and troubleshoot electrical faults, signal interference, or equipment failures
• Ensure all design implementations comply with national and international regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA)
• Supervise and inspect the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical machinery and systems
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, technicians, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Prepare project cost estimates, material schedules, and technical documentation
• Evaluate existing electrical installations and recommend modifications or upgrades to improve efficiency and safety

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
• 2 to 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, design, or field operations
• Software proficiency: AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, MATLAB, ETAP, SPICE, or PLC programming tools
• Deep understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, circuit design, and signal processing
• Strong familiarity with regulatory electrical codes and building standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE)
