Job summary

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a qualified maintenance professional to operate, inspect, and repair boiler, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a hatchery setting.

The role requires hands-on skills with tools, physical fitness, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidate holds RMeE or CPM certification with at least 1 year of plant maintenance experience and a proven ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform routine preventive

Qualifications

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RMeE) or Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM)
• At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance
• Knowledge of boiler systems, electrical systems, motors, pumps, and basic plumbing
• Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools efficiently
• Physically fit and willing to work in a hatchery environment
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boiler systems to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as required
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment
