Job summary

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. in Cavite is seeking a Registered Mechanical Engineer or CPM to lead plant maintenance and repair tasks in our hatchery facilities.

You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler systems, electrical and plumbing networks, and ensure equipment reliability. The role requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience, physical fitness for hatchery work, and willingness to work shifts including weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RMeE) or Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM) is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of boiler, electrical, motors, pumps and basic plumbing.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools efficiently.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a hatchery environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boiler systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
