Lettered L Food Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the operation of canteen equipment and facilities in Laguna.
The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance on ovens, fryers, refrigerators, and related systems, plus electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed. You will perform routine inspections, repair faults, and coordinate major repairs with service providers while ensuring safety standards and accurate maintenance records.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all canteen equipment, including ovens, stoves, fryers, rice cookers, refrigerators, freezers, chillers, exhaust systems, sinks, and other kitchen equipment.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to restore normal operations.
Replace defective parts and components to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Ensure all equipment is in good working condition before daily operations.
Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and civil maintenance works within canteen facilities.
Repair leaks, damaged fixtures, doors, windows, lighting, and other facility-related issues.
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of maintenance work areas.
Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
Lubricate, clean, adjust, and service equipment to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Immediately report major equipment defects requiring specialized repair.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems affecting canteen operations.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor or accredited service providers for major repairs when necessary.
Maintain and safeguard assigned tools and maintenance equipment.
Monitor the availability of spare parts and maintenance supplies and report replenishment needs.
Ensure proper storage and inventory of maintenance materials.
Perform maintenance work in accordance with company safety policies, food safety standards, and occupational health regulations.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during maintenance activities.
Ensure repaired equipment is safe for use before returning it to operations.
Record completed repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment inspections.
Report recurring equipment issues and recommend repairs or replacements to Management.
Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
Coordinate with outlet personnel to address maintenance concerns promptly.
Support the Operations Team by ensuring all kitchen equipment is operational and ready for service.
Assist during equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning when required.
Perform other maintenance-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Management.
Graduate of a Technical Vocational Course in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC), Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
TESDA National Certificate (NC II) in any of the following is preferred:
Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Servicing NC II
Building Wiring Installation NC II
Mechatronics Servicing NC II
Industrial Automation NC II (advantage)
At least 1–2 years of experience in equipment repair and preventive maintenance, preferably in a food service, restaurant, commissary, or canteen environment.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and basic carpentry repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment and facility-related issues.
Familiarity with occupational safety standards and proper use of maintenance tools and equipment.
Physically fit and willing to travel to different canteen or outlet locations when required.
Possesses good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
