Job summary

Philippine Geoanalytics, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Maintenance Engineer with a BSME and hands-on experience in construction and heavy equipment to lead maintenance programs for excavators, loaders, dump trucks, generators, and concrete equipment.

You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans, troubleshoot complex systems, supervise technicians, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure safety and compliance with OHS standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Technical & Equipment Management: Develop, execute, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for construction and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs for machinery such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, generators, and concrete equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specs, safety standards, and quality controls.

Qualification

• Education: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) license is an advantage.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of solid experience in construction and heavy equipment operations.

• Technical Skills: Strong mastery of mechanical systems, hydraulics, power trains, and basic electrical systems/motor controls.

• Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and schematic diagrams.

Job Description:

• 1. Technical & Equipment Management

  • Develop, execute, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all construction and heavy equipment.

  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs for machinery such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, generators, and concrete equipment.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality controls.

  2. Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and electricians.

  • Delegate daily work assignments and coordinate emergency repair schedules.

  • Identify training needs and conduct safety briefings or toolboxes for the maintenance team.

  3. Inventory & Operations Control

  • Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring critical components are always in stock.

  • Coordinate with external suppliers, fabricators, and equipment manufacturers for parts sourcing and technical support.

  • Review maintenance logs, repair history, and equipment tracking data to generate weekly and monthly performance reports.

  4. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines within the workshop and deployment sites.

  • Ensure all hazardous materials, tools, and machinery are handled, stored, and disposed of properly.
