Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer.
  • Experience designing maintenance strategies and managing spare parts.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.

Job Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all production and manufacturing equipment. The role requires strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, along with proven experience in creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs. This supervisor must be able to quickly identify equipment issues, apply effective problem-solving techniques, and develop practical solutions. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role works closely with team members and collaborates with various departments across the organization.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures.
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams for troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and plant layout planning activities.
  • Apply and uphold QMS (ISO 9001), EMS/EHS (ISO 14001), and safety standards.
  • Coach developing engineers and technicians on equipment requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership, manage change, and motivate team members.
  • Decide on task prioritization and lead the team to meet schedules.
  • Delegate tasks to cross-functional teams.
  • Gather inputs and results from cross-functional groups for critical decisions.
  • Prepare technical reports and conduct presentations.
  • Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations, negotiations, and persuasion.
  • Conduct strategic planning and crisis management when equipment issues arise.
  • Provide process knowledge and define inputs, outputs, and equipment requirements.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer.
  • Expertise in equipment maintenance processes and technical accessories.
  • Experience designing maintenance strategies, responding to faults, performing inspections, managing spare parts, and supporting continuous equipment coverage.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Familiarity with stamping, molding, plating, and assembly machines.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and the ability to explain technical ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing people, leading teams, and achieving results.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, email, communication tools).
