A7 Recruitment in Taguig is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer (Associate to Senior Manager level) to join our client in the Philippines. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2 and related tools.

Hybrid work arrangement in Manila offices (Taguig or QC) with 5-10 years’ experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and full-time commitment. Located at Science Hub Tower, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3–17 years of experience in mainframe development.
• Experience with COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2 and other mainframe languages.
• Experience with mainframe systems such as z/OS, IMS, and VSAM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications and systems using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other programming languages and tools
• Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers
• Collaborate with other teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mainframe development

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our client in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications and systems using various programming languages and tools. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mainframe development and a strong understanding of the job market context in the Philippines.
