Job summary

MRM is seeking a senior technical leader to design and drive Magento (Adobe Commerce) project delivery. You will lead technical architecture, coordinate across client IT teams, and guide project teams from design through deployment.

You will also contribute to proposals and SOW creation, mentor engineers, and set technical standards while collaborating with sales as an SME when needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience as a technical developer or related work experience.
• 6+ years in technical leadership roles leading projects or teams.
• Deep knowledge of commerce ecosystem components and Magento (Adobe Commerce).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical design for and lead implementation of client projects.
• Own the overall delivery of client projects with a Partner and PM.
• Contribute to proposals and SOW creation processes.
• Work with staffing to ensure proper resources and expertise.

Job description

• Perform technical design for and lead implementation of our client projects
• In conjunction with a Client Partner and Project Manager, own the overall delivery of client projects
• Contribute to the proposal writing and SOW creation process
• Work with the staffing team to ensure projects are staffed with the correct number of resources and proper level of expertise
• Responsible for technical design and deliverables for client projects
• Interact with client IT teams to coordinate delivery and deployment of Optaros solutions
• Present technical solutions to both business and IT teams
• Provide technical leadership for project teams
• Leads development of mentorship and training programs for company technical staff
• Sets company-wide technical standards and actively participates in technical practice domains
• Participate in the sales process as an SME or SE when needed
• Strong knowledge and expertise regarding Magento (Adobe Commerce) Platform

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• 12+ years’ experience as a technical developer or related work experience; 6+ years in technical leadership roles, leading projects or development teams, application architecture, enterprise architecture, systems integration and development; experience in a project-based consulting environment
• Deep knowledge of critical (common) commerce ecosystem components and how to integrate these components
• Broad technical skills with deep expertise in more than one area (scalability/load balancing, security, performance)
• Deep understanding of system administration, software and hardware/cloud configuration, release management strategies
• Deep knowledge designing solutions on Magento (Adobe Commerce)
• Solid understanding of databases and experience with database tuning
• Experience with ecommerce packages and delivering ecommerce projects strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with source code management strategies and release management
• Experience shaping projects including authoring/reviewing proposals and SOWs
• Managing technical resources (<10) through all phases of project delivery
• Interest in collaborating across the company to share knowledge
