Job summary

SPX PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Machining Technician in Paciano, Calamba Laguna. The role focuses on machining, repair, refurbishment, and preventive maintenance of conveyors, rollers, shafts, and machine parts using lathe equipment.

The technician will support fellow maintenance staff during PM, breakdowns, installation, and testing to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Machining Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical course.
• 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Tesda Certificate for machining.
• Experience operating a lathe machine and basic machining.
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial equipment.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic welding, grinding, drilling, and fabrication skills.
• Willing to perform general maintenance and support other technicians.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, and during equipment breakdowns.
• Willing to be assigned in Paciano, Calamba Laguna

Responsibilities

• Machining & Mechanical Repair.
• Operate lathe machines and other machining equipment for repair and fabrication.
• Repair and refurbish conveyor rollers, shafts, bushings, spacers, pins, sleeves, and other components.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, grinding, and other machining activities.
• Measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Ensure machined components meet dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, breakdown response, installation, and commissioning.
• Provide manpower and technical support to other maintenance technicians.
