Penbrothers International is recruiting a Junior Assistant Buyer to curate luxury pre-owned items and support procurement strategy across global markets. You will focus on aligning sourcing with demand, pricing, and profitability while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

The role sits within the Merchandise team and requires a brand-focused, analytical mindset with comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Up to 2 years of buying/merchandising/procurement experience in fashion or retail, ideally with luxury exposure.
Strong knowledge of luxury brands, market trends, and second-hand ecosystem; interest in fashion and sustainability.
Highly analytical and data-driven; uses data tools to support buying decisions (Excel/Sheets/PBI).
Confident negotiator with experience managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

Select products from B2B and B2C suppliers aligning with buying guidelines, demand, pricing, and margins.
Set base selling price for selected items with accurate product attributes.
Build and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate costs to meet quality and financial targets.
Analyze supplier performance and stock movement; identify risks and opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve ways of working.
