Job summary

Penbrothers is looking for a Junior Assistant Buyer to curate luxury pre-owned items, align with procurement strategy, and manage budgets to maximize profitability. The role sits in the Merchandise team and interacts with global markets, including Japanese and Chinese teams.

You will select products, set base prices, and negotiate with suppliers, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and data-driven decision-making. Hybrid work with monthly office visits is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or procurement in fashion or retail, ideally luxury goods or accessories.
• Strong knowledge of luxury brands, market trends, and the second-hand ecosystem.
• Highly analytical and data-driven with decision support.
• Confident negotiator with supplier relationship management experience.

Responsibilities

• Select products from B2B and B2C suppliers aligned with buying guidelines and margin targets.
• Set base selling prices and ensure accurate product attributes.
• Build & maintain supplier relationships; negotiate costs for favorable commercial terms.
• Analyze supplier performance and stock movement to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve ways of working.
