The Lubricant Sales Engineer role combines technical mastery with commercial drive to promote and sell our industrial lubricants across Metro Manila and beyond. You will conduct site audits, diagnose lubrication challenges, recommend solutions, and close deals that create value for customers and Unioil.

The Lubricant Sales Engineer combines technical mastery with commercial drive to promote and sell Unioil’s industrial and commercial lubricant products across your assigned territory. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients — conducting site audits, diagnosing lubrication challenges, recommending solutions, and closing deals that create long-term value for both the customer and the company.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within your assigned territory or industry segments through cold calls, client visits, and product demonstrations
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through to deal closure and ongoing account retention
Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotations, and technical presentations tailored to client needs and applications
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume targets for lubricant products
Generate a minimum of 3–5 new accounts per quarter in line with business growth objectives
Perform lubrication audits and site assessments at customer locations to identify optimization opportunities and application gaps
Recommend appropriate lubricant grades, types, and application methods based on specific machinery and operating conditions
Troubleshoot lubrication-related issues including equipment wear, contamination, and premature failures, providing practical and well-documented solutions
Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop and deliver customized lubrication solutions for complex customer requirements
Conduct product training sessions and technical seminars for customers, distributors, and channel partners
Build and sustain long-term relationships with key accounts, distributors, and channel partners to drive loyalty and repeat business
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve concerns to maintain an account retention rate of 90% or above year-over-year
Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing account portfolio
Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate product delivery for all managed accounts
Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market developments within the lubricants industry to identify threats and opportunities
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review, maintaining 100% CRM activity logging within 24 hours
Gather and communicate customer insights and feedback to guide product development, marketing strategy, and territory planning
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
A degree in Business Administration or equivalent may be considered with strong and relevant sales experience in technical products
Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in lubricants, industrial chemicals, or related technical products
Proven track record in B2B sales with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
Experience conducting technical site assessments and product application studies is an advantage
Strong understanding of lubricant chemistry including base oils, additives, and viscosity grading systems (ISO, SAE, NLGI)
Familiarity with industrial machinery applications including engines, hydraulics, gearboxes, and bearing systems
Knowledge of relevant industry standards: ISO, DIN, and OEM manufacturer specifications
Understanding of condition monitoring techniques and oil analysis programs is an advantage
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Self-driven and results-oriented with strong time management and territory planning capabilities
Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software such as Salesforce or SAP
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Flexibility to attend trade shows, exhibitions, and company-organized events as required
