Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Makati, Metro Manila, is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to design and implement Linux deployment automation using Ansible, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). You will lead the automation engine for VM deployments, collaborate with apps teams on OS standards, and ensure scalable, secure infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years Linux deployments and 6+ years infrastructure design, with strong IaC/CI/CD knowledge and hands-on with Ansible, Git, Terraform, and AWX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
• 5+ years' experience in managing infrastructure architectures.
• Strong knowledge of IaC and CI/CD.
• Expertise in Ansible, Git, Terraform and AWX.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or cloud platforms and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong English communication and client-facing skills.

The primary purpose of the Senior Linux Engineer role is to lead the design and implementation of Linux deployment automation strategies, utilizing expertise in Ansible, CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on creating efficient and streamlined processes for deploying Linux systems within the company's IT infrastructure and cloud hyperscalers (AWS/GCP), optimizing productivity and scalability.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Design and maintain the linux automation engine responsible for the deployment of all VMs and Cloud VMs.
• Collaborate with application teams to come up with linux OS standards and templates for their apps.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, highly available, and secure.
• Understand and implement best practices for infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues during implementation phase in a timely manner.
• Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in infrastructure design and management.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Preferably with Master's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux technologies and deployments.
• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
• 5+ years' experience in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure architectures.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong knowledge of Ansible, Git, Terraform and AWX.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RH/SUSE) with certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure and with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
