Detailed Job Description:

Your day-to-day responsibilities include deploying RHEL and NixOS instances, configuring immutable operating system environments, managing Suricata and Zeek threat sensors, and executing rigorous enterprise infrastructure troubleshooting. You will operate in a collaborative enterprise environment while partnering closely with client security and infrastructure engineering squads.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, configure, deploy, and maintain robust enterprise Linux server environments utilizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and NixOS.
Implement and manage advanced kernel-level packet filtering frameworks, nftables, iptables, and network security firewalls.
Deploy and administer container security platforms, Cilium networking, and cloud-native microservices protection mechanisms.
Configure and manage intrusion detection and network monitoring sensors including Suricata and Zeek (Bro).
Design and manage immutable operating system deployments ensuring tamper-proof infrastructure integrity and rapid recovery.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex operating system anomalies, kernel panics, security alerts, and performance bottlenecks promptly.
Coordinate cross-functional infrastructure changes, security patches, and maintenance windows in adherence to strict SLA standards.
Maintain meticulous technical documentation, system architecture topologies, configuration backups, and incident tracking records.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline.
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in enterprise Linux engineering and network security.
Strong, demonstrable operational expertise working extensively with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and NixOS.
Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in advanced packet filtering, nftables, iptables, and firewalls.
Deep practical experience with modern container security (Cilium), threat detection sensors (Suricata, Zeek), and immutable operating systems.
Solid practical grasp of enterprise infrastructure deployment, implementation, troubleshooting, and kernel optimization.
Excellent analytical problem-solving aptitude, technical documentation skills, and strong cross-functional communication capabilities.
Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for professional operations in Manila, Philippines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Professional Linux or security certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS), or CISSP.
Prior professional working experience in top-tier cybersecurity firms, managed security service providers (MSSPs), or enterprise data centers.
Hands-on familiarity with automation scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Bash) for configuration management and infrastructure hardening.
Experience utilizing enterprise IT ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira) and advanced SIEM solutions (Splunk, Elastic Stack).
