Job summary

Trinity Consulting in Manila, Philippines is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer with 8+ years in enterprise Linux administration, OS hardening, and security. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive professional experience in enterprise Linux system administration and network security.
• Experience with RHEL and declarative OS models like NixOS.
• Proficient with nftables/iptables and Linux netfilter subsystems.
• Experience deploying Cilium eBPF networking, Suricata IDS, and Zeek network analysis.
• Knowledge of immutable OS architectures and kernel performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, harden, and maintain enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and NixOS server environments.
• Design and enforce robust host-based firewall policies utilizing nftables, iptables, and kernel-level packet filtering.
• Implement advanced container networking, eBPF data planes, and network security policies using Cilium.
• Deploy, tune, and manage intrusion detection and network security monitoring tools including Suricata and Zeek.
• Research, test, and deploy immutable operating system architectures to enhance system integrity and reduce attack surfaces.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux kernel panics, memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, and storage I/O issues.
• Collaborate with security incident response teams, DevOps squads, and network administrators during audits.
• Author runbooks, kernel tuning guidelines, security hardening checklists, and compliance reports.
